Potty training

Breakthrough - now what?

My 3yo has been incredibly resistant to potty training, but over the last 2 weeks he's finally started using a potty toilet when we ask him/put him on it. We've managed to get him wearing pants today as we have a few days where we can focus on it and when he's wearing nappies he knows he can just wee in his nappy, so I think the switch needs to happen to progress.

Any top tips for these first couple of days in pants? Any good resources I can look at? Thank you!

Going bare bum rather pants can be easier for some, pants can feel a bit too much like a nappy.
Don't plan to go out, stay home close to the toilet / potty.
Take them every 30 mins and a sticker for every wee/poo but no issue of nothing.
There will be accidents, get them to help you clean up but not in a "scolding" way, just involve them so they see that a puddle on the floor means stopping playing to clean up.
Don't think about night dryness yet, that is something different and cannot be trained for

Why are you putting him in nappies other than bed time? To train you bin the nappies. As he gets the idea extend the time you remind him so he's up to an hour....should take about 3 days.
Keep him in pants and loose trousers he's not an 18 month old where bear bum is because you're wee catching. Mine don't use a potty.
