Toddler Keeps Taking Poop Out Her Nappy

Hello

We potty trained our dd (now 2.5 y/o) in October and she got the hang of it quickly. However, she has always struggled to go poop in the potty and would go in her pants. In the last month she has started going in the potty. However, she has also been going in her nappy at night time shortly after we put her down. She has then been proceeding the take the poop out her nappy and put it on her carpet. However, tonight she has taken the poop and smeared it on the walls, bed, blind and the list goes on. She knows what she has done and knows it’s not “good girl behaviour”.
I take her to the potty before I tuck her in and tell her to shout for mummy if she needs a pee/poop and I’ll come help her. I’m not sure what else I can do? Is this even normal behaviour of a toddler or should I be asking the health visitor concerning this behaviour/development?

Has anyone experienced this and can offer any advice?

Can she wear a babygrow/onesie in bed? Harder to get at her pants or nappy.
