DD was 4 in September, she has been potty trained since she was 2.5.
For a long time after she would have wee "accidents" maybe once or twice a day where she'd just do a little dribble and was then able to take herself to the toilet to finish her wee. That stopped after around 6 months or so but every so often starts again. Before Christmas I thought we'd cracked it after a few weeks of dryness, I went from having to remind her and get her to go hourly to not having to say anything at all and her independently taking herself again. She had a solid 3 months of not a single accident but since Christmas we've been back at square one and worse than ever, she's wetting almost every day at nursery and at home and I'm just stuck in a rut with what to do. She isn't remotely bothered, some days she'll take herself off to the toilet fine and the next day she's wetting, she's obviously aware that she needs to go but it's like she just can't be bothered. She doesn't tell anyone at home or at nursery, obviously I notice at home but there's been times where I've picked her up and she's obviously been wet and it's dried because she stinks. When I've asked her why she's wet she either says she doesn't know or that she was just too busy.
Sticker charts/rewards work for a short while then we're back to square one, I've tried putting the work of getting changed etc after an accident on her so it takes her longer to get back to the activity she was enjoying than if she just stopped and quickly went to the toilet, I've set hourly timers to remind her to go when we're at home but she's just so stubborn and strong willed it ends in a tantrum because she doesn't want to. Nursery have put her back under toileting supervision which does seem to work but again when she's taken off it because she doesn't seem to be needing it we're back to wetting again.
Where do I go from here? She starts school this year and I'm concerned she's still going to be wetting by then.
