Potty training going well but Sleep gone wrong

My 2 and a half year old is out of nappies in the day but it coincided with a nightly waking up, the past two or three weeks. She screams and we end up picking her up and putting her in our bed, where she just wiggles and kicks the rest of the night.

Are these things linked? What can we do?

My 2.5 year old has also started waking up most nights after sleeping through for ages. I don’t really believe in “sleep regressions”, but I think it is quite a common age to have disturbed sleep.

We potty trained a few months ago, so it’s not directly linked in our case. He wears a pull up at night and I’ve been wondering if he’s started waking because he needs to wee, so whenever he wakes up in the night we take him to the potty and put him back to bed.

Does your DD wear a nappy at night? Do you take her to the toilet when she wakes up?

I know some people wake their DC up specially to take them to the toilet but I’ve never dared to disturb him!

We had this - it was like a switch with her sleep when we potty trained our DD at 2y6m. She mostly got the hang of potty training very quickly but sleep is still not back on track yet and she's now 2y10m. Is your LO also a perfectionist? I think in my DD's case worry about getting potty training right is causing stress and preventing deep sleep.
