2yr old regressing with potty training

I’m hoping someone might be able to help! My little girl is 2 years 7 months. We started potty training about 3 months ago and all was going well. Very few wee accidents but more regular poo accidents which I was expecting. However the last few weeks she has had an increasing amount of accidents and now basically every time she wees is in her knickers rather than the potty/toilet, same with poos. It’s at the point now where she won’t even sit on the potty. She just says no. I don’t understand what happened and why she’s gone so far backwards. She doesn’t always seem to even recognise that she’s doing a wee. Any advice??

Hi, did you manage to work out how to solve this issue? literally feel like you are describing my daughter! trained 2 months ago shes 2 years 8 months and it went well. however now every time she needs she just does in knickers/trousers and most infuriating she seems proud of herself! like comes and tells me she made etc..also refuses to go to toilet now she sees it as a punishment! any advice? i didnt expect such a setback🤔

Can I go back to stage one and have a weekend of her naked? Start the day saying that the potty is there and you trust she will use it when she needs to. Watch her like a hawk but don't suggest or ask. If you see her pee, say pee goes in the potty while lifting her on. Wipe up any messes with no fuss and congratulate her if she uses the potty/toilet.
My little one had a set bath a couple of months in due to an accident and the reaction of those there at the time. It set off a month of at least one accident a day and I could feel myself beginning to get annoyed. A little reset back to naked helped. She then dribbled a little - which I later found out is another normal stage - and the thicker training pants helped with that stage. Another couple of months on and we're back to her asking or taking herself off. Good luck!
