2.5 year old girl
Knows exactly what to do but her fear is stopping her.
Wont entertain the potty or toilet seat
Is scared when I go for a wee in public toilets (doesn't like the flush)
She started off having wee and poos in potty but won't sit on it anymore.
I keep her in pants but she holds it in then cry's for her nappy back on
I have tried rewarding her but she isn't interested.
Really need some help and advice :(

My best advice would be to stop. Take the pressure off, for both of you for st Leary 2 weeks.

Sounds like she's a little stressed.

@AlviesMam Just wondering how you overcame this please?

I came across your old thread as my daughter is going through exactly the same thing and has the same fears.

Hi @OctaviaRedQueen
I stopped for two weeks and tried again!
I started painting her toe nails while she sat on the toilet 😂 or giving her the tablet to watch her favourite show.
I didn't ask her if she needed it just took her upstairs to go and play and stopped at the toilet along the way, even if she just sat on it I would praise her!
Did a sticker chart, offered her milk buttons as a reward (bought a big pack so she was only having one or two at a time)
Kept her in pants , let her have accidents, just kept consistent with it, her school teacher at nursery helped support me too.
I didn't believe people when they said 'it will just click' and it honestly really did just happen overnight!
Shes now fully toilet trained and is dry overnight too! Still doesn't like the hand dryer in public toilets but we don't use it and that's made he trust me more with public toilets , she's fine with the flush now.
She was 3 in November and was trained by the January xx
