Moving on from potty to toilet? How?

My little girl potty trained about two months ago and is doing amazingly, dry day and night, the only problem is she will only go on the potty, I'm getting fed up of having to take the carry potty everywhere we go!
How do I move her on? We gave seat with a ladder for the toilet but she refuses to use it. Any ideas?

We just picked our child up and put them on the toilet ourselves at home and elsewhere

If only it was that easy! She gets really upset every time we try and put her on the toilet.

We had this with our son, unfortunately it ended on us having to just bin tne potty - he cried for a day or 2 then forgot all about it

My DS will only use the potty at home for wee. Luckily he’s a contrary little soul and has decided to use the toilet for poo. (Will actually do a wee in the potty and then climb on to the toilet after).

Although we’ve not cracked it completely at home, I don’t take the potty out with us, so he has to use toilets when we are out. I make a big deal of him using the “big toilet! Wow!”.

So no advice really, but at least you know you’re not the only one.

Is she already only ever using the potty in the bathroom/public toilet because that’s the first step? It’s harder if she’s used to the whenever wherever convenience of the potty. Then I just said no more potty, chucked it, and big girls/boys use the toilet because the potty is for when you’re still learning and might not be able to hold it for long enough to get to the nearest loo. I did this early though, like 10 days into training, so didn’t get any resistance.

We take the travel potty to the toilet when we're out an about yes, unless we're absolutely miles from one!
