Hi all

I'm a mum of a toddler and baby 8 months. He's 2.5 yes old in pull up nappies. I've tried Jim on potty he freaks out, I've tried many ways, so I decided to get a little toddler seat for toilet as he sees me using the loo and asks about it. Anyhow, he tells me when he's done a poo and will tell me when he's done a wee, even goes and gets me a new nappy so I know he's ready.. we don't have a downstairs loo which is annoying so if he does need to I'll pop my DD in her playpen and run him upstairs, I just think I'd rather get him straight on toilet than potty and easier if we go out so he's already used to seeing the loo. Anyway he freaks out at potty and the toddler toilet seat, how did you get your little one to warm to the idea of using them? Any advice or tips I'd be really greatfull!

We had similar with DS when he was that age. Tried all sorts including bribes, charts, etc. Nothing worked. Decided to leave it alone for another 6 months and at just past 3 we went cold turkey on the pull ups and he was trained in 2 days. Willingness to sit on the potty/toilet is it's own sign of readiness.
