Looking for any advice anyone can give. DS is 4.5 and has ASD. He came out of nappies over a year ago and made a lot of progress very quickly with toilet training much to our surprise if I'm honest. This included being dry at night very soon after.
Over time, he's gradually becoming less successful at getting to the toilet in time meaning lots of wet clothes and laundry. His speech is delayed so he's never been one to ask for the toilet and has very much just taken himself. He's not the slightest bit bothered about being wet and will just happily request a change of clothes. I feel like I've tried everything including ruling out any medical issues. He goes for a poo without any issues and although generally sleeps through, he has occasionally woken in the night and taken himself for a wee.
He starts school in September and although I know he's not going to be the only one, I'm starting to feel frustrated especially because I know he's more than capable which isn't helping.
