So I'm staring my almost 3yo toilet training. He's very switches on and understands everything. We have decided no potty but to get the cotton pants where you feel that u are wet unlike a nappy and hopefully encourage toilet. Been taking him toilet every half hour

Only started an hour ago and so far he has not gone toilet but went wee in these pants and told us which I think is good as he never tells us when he's weed in a nappy so he must recognise this is different

Now I appreciate all kids different but how many accidents did it take ur child using this Method before they decided to use the actual toilet?

Just using normal underpants, he had three accidents the first day then never had another (it’s been years)

My sons were similar to @ReadRum .

I bought character underpants and said you must tell Mummy/Daddy when you want a wee and make sure you do not do it on characters name.
It worked for us and I was given the idea from someone else and it had worked for them.
