I'm so stuck. My toddler has been using the potty and toilet consistently for wees for months probably close to a year. He still weed in nappies but whenever offered he used the toilet. He has now started pooping in the potty so we are trying to get him out of nappies during the day but every time I put pants on him he pees through, I try take him to the potty or toilet every 20-30 minutes and he kicks off refusing to sit down and then minutes later will stand a wee. When he's naked he goes 90% of the time on the potty/toilet. He's really proud of himself and he gets a reward. Our lifestyle does not accommodate 5 days locked in the house till he gets it. My mental health will not manage that either. I should also note he doesn't use the potty at the childminders often either she says he's just not interested. Everyone is telling me it's because it feels like a nappy and I get it. But how do I get him to know the difference?

No real advice, offering solidarity. I could have written this post myself years ago.
I’m afraid I put DC back in nappies for a while until ready to say. A lot of people said it would be confusing and I should have stuck with it, but like you I couldn’t have a DC out an about naked from the waist down and it was ridiculous the amount of clothes we were going through when out and about. Good luck and hopefully someone else has got some more productive advice than me.
