3 year old potty training help!!!

My 3.2 year old son has been soooo stubborn at the thought of being potty trained. I had tried everything, taking him to pick pants, pick potty, buy sticker charts etc! Nothing would convince him to use it!

On Tuesday he decided to do a wee and poo after his bath in the potty and we ditched the nappies since. He has been doing great. Today no accidents, everything made it to the potty but we haven't left the house!

My issue is that he refuses to use a toilet, so if we are out I won't be able to get him to sit on the toilet to go! Any advice would be amazing!!

He also absolutely hates the smell of poo, he gags every time he goes in the potty.

I am so proud he's finally decided to try potty training but obviously need to be able to leave the house! 😂😂

We have a My Carry Potty which comes with us everywhere now (three weeks into potty training here!). It has a lockable lid with a seal which means any contents can be secured until you get to a toilet to empty it out :)

We have a My Carry Potty also which DD loves and chose her own from the many designs which helped.

She is preferring to use the toilet now so we have got a foldable toilet seat for going out that is really handy and useful and just fits in my bag in the little carry bag it comes with. It's a frog one from Amazon...maybe your DC might like that if it's something different to use on the toilet?

Thanks for the suggestions! He started using the big toilet in the house on Sunday and went no problem out in public. I was maybe not giving him enough credit! He's done so amazing. I am so proud! Due a new baby in 2 weeks so fingers crossed he doesn't regress and I'll only have to buy one set of nappies 😬😬
