Pooping in night nappies

My DD is 3.5 and has been daytime potty trained for 6 months. But she still has to wear a night nappy and she will until she is reliably dry at night. Anyway, when I get her up in the morning she always has a poo in her nappy. She has been reliably doing wees and poos on the potty in the day until recently, and wears a pull-up in the day. But I don’t know why she suddenly started pooping in her nappy in the morning. What should I do? She has also had a streak of number 2s in her pull-up over the last 2 weeks. Should I put her back into nappies in the day for two or three months and then try again?

Do you know when she is doing it and whether she is awake?
Definitely don’t go back to nappies during the day.
My guess would be constipation and overflow.

@LysHastighed They seem fully formed, I think she wakes up and does a poo before I come in. But she has also been regressing a bit and has only done wees and poos in her pull-up for the last 4 days. I just think nappies are easier to change.

So she never actually wears underwear at all? I would try that.

Pull ups are nappies. If your 3.5 year old is permanently in nappies then they’re not toilet trained.

put them in pants. Go from there.

What @PotteringAlonggotkickedoutandhadtoreregister said. Pull ups will feel exactly the same as nappies to her. She needs to be in underwear now.

Also, you do know pull ups rip at each side to be taken off, the same as a nappy?

Pull ups are nappies 🙄
We used then instead of tab nappies from about 9m with both of ours because they were just easier.

I'd try actual underwear, as what's the incentive for her to use the toilets when she's in a nappy?
