Portable potty or folding seat ?

My 2 and half year old is almost ready to stop using a nappy. I’m just wondering for days out what people would recommend? I’m going between a foldable seat to go on public toilets or a carry potty? He will use the potty or toilet (when I’m holding him on, yet to buy a child’s seat) at home so I’m not sure what to go for ?! Foldable is nice as it’s small when folded but also is it more convenient to have a potty at the ready?
thanks !

We used this (and about to use with our second). You can use as a potty or seat- brilliant for taking out and about. I have kept it in a zipped waterproof washable bag along with wipes and the pottete liners (I found some biodegradable ones). We keep it in the car for emergencies now!

I had both but found the potty easier if we were anywhere without a toilet, like stopping in a lay-by on country roads. Perhaps that's just where we live though! Grin
