Back to square 1?

DS is 26 months and we’ve just started potty training. At the end of day 1 after a few accidents, DS just marched over and peed in the potty totally unprompted. He did the same for all his wees on day 2 and at the beginning of day 3. But now he has stopped doing that and is just having accidents again and not even attempting the potty or telling us he needs to go. Are we back at square 1??

We had this it’s definitely part of the process. We kept underwear off for about two weeks because he count distinguish between the nappy and underwear.

We also kept prompting him to sit on the potty every hour or so, you will probably get a rhythm of how often they go.

Definitely not back at square one I think they just forget a little, like the new game is over after a few days. Good Luck

Thank you, it’s been hit or miss for the past couple of days but overall I think we’re making progress so will carry on…!
