Holding in poo and now wee

HELP

My DD started potty training in September totally rocked it.

Then started to hold in her poo and now her wee.

I just don't know what to do and can't seem to help her 😓

Any advise/help would be much appreciated!

The heath visitors have been useless saying do a stick chart, make her sit on the potty etc

They just seem to suggest everything I've already tried, the doctor's told me she was constipated as I don't feed her correctly, I've done a food diary her diet is fine

I'm at the point of tears nothing is helping 😭

How old ? I’d stick a nappy on to make sure she goes

She will be three is Feb.

She started the potty training by asking to wee on the potty, I've tried to put a nappy back on her but it causes so much de-stress it's worse

If they think she's constipated, the NICE guidance is to treat with movicol/laxido , not to treat by dietary measures alone. You might want to look at www.Eric.org.uk

Put a nappy back on, leave it for a few weeks and start over.
You say she is holding but she must be doing something at some point: when and where does she eventually go?

And don't make a big deal out of it. There is nothing at stake here. Stop talking to her about it (if you are).

Thanks for all the replies

We have lactulose and movical, she finally goes on her knickers. Pooing is a little bit ever now and then nothing substantial

When my DD was 3 and 3/4 we had a similar problem. We thought it was because she liked the feeling of pooing in her nappy (maybe because she didn’t feel like she was loosing a part of her body making it less scary). So, we decided to let her wear her underwear as usual but told her to ask for a nappy when she needed a poo. We would put her in one, sit her down on the potty and let her do her business. Then we changed her nappy and made her watch as we flushed it away and told her that was where poos go. She kept peeing on the potty but would ask us for a nappy when she needed to do a poo. This stopped the constipation and after a month we got her to take it off. I hope this helps.
