DD is 2yr 2 months.

Toilet training has being going great 7 days with minimal accidents, the issue is she wont tell us she needs. She will run about/jump infront of us making noises when she needs so we always know but why wont she tell us. We will say, oh do you need a wee wee and she will say No but she does?

She is also good at holding it in if we arent close to a toilet so for maybe a few mins or so.

Just for clarity DD is an amazing talker, speaks in sentences clear as day.

Its only 7 days. If she is making clear signals why do you need words?

I just found it unusual, and wonder why if im honest.
She is doing amazing, i tell her this all the time, and the sticker and chocolate tell her this also lol.

But for such a chatterbox i assumed she would shout it from the rooftops when she needed.

Ah!! I thought it must be common but my 2 other Dcs never did this!

So did it just come over time?

She is communicating though... press on .

Catch21 · 02/09/2022 15:42

Yes. It took a while though!

Megapint · 02/09/2022 16:43

She is telling you. She's communicating her needs with her body language. That's your que to say ' looks like you need to go to the loo?'

Children can often be a bit shy or overwhelmed by toileting.
Help her by articulating it for her if she's struggling. It's still a very new skill.
