So I started training my 2.5 year old last week and it went surprisingly well at home for the first few days. He went to nursery on monday and although he did sit on the potty there he didn’t use it once.
Things still went ok at home and he would use potty except today he won’t go near it and refuses to even look at it. He has also started fighting me off so to speak if i even try and touch his trousers.
Hes got training pants on they are definitely wet but he didn’t even try and use the potty and hes reluctant to let me change him.
Should I just give up for a few weeks and try again?! It was all going so well too :(

I started off by putting a potty near and explaining what it was for and then a few days later put them in pants. Explained if they need a wee or poo to tell me and i sat them on the potty throughout the day. Soon got the idea when they realised a nappy wouldn't catch their wee etc. its messy at first but stick with it! Put puppy pads under towels on your sofa to protect that and just keep trying, they will get there eventually!
