How to train DC2???

So I was that smug parent with DC1 who had them using a potty with very few accidents after a few days. I calmly explained to DC1 that wee and poos go into the potty now. ‘Ok mummy’ and we didn’t look back. Just started with DC2 and it is a s**t show. Literally. He’s 3 in a few weeks. Happy to sit on the potty and wee if I put him on it but also happy to poo and wee anywhere else as well. Im also finding the logistics tricky - with DC1 we just stayed in for a week and focussed on it: not possible with DC2 - gotta do school runs, swimming class pick ups etc. Any tips for how people have fitted potty training in with other kids in tow as I feel this one is going to take a bit longer!!

If you wait until they're actually ready, it won't take more than a few days. I'd leave it for now and try again in a month or so.

@Shmithecat2 hes been showing signs of being ready - hides to do number twos, tells us before he does a wee and says he wants to use the toilet like his sister which is why we figured we’d start. He’s also getting very resistant to changing his nappy so we figured he wanted a bit more autonomy with toileting….

Can you block out 3 days over the upcoming bank holiday and just focus on him? Could his big sister go to stay with family so you can 100% focus?
