Potty Training 3 year old

Does anyone have any advise. After a few false starts we tried again potty training our 3 year old son in January. He seemed to take to it much easier this time and was basically fine for wee's after a week with no accidents etc!!

Poos are a different story. He seemed reluctant to go from the start and we managed to get a few Poos on the potty with a lot of reassurance and some bribery Confused
However, the last few weeks he has now started just going in the middle of the night/very early morning while he has a nappy on.
My husband has said we just not put a nappy on overnight but I feel that's a bit of a recipe for disaster! I'm still trying to talk to him a lot and encourage it but he's not having any of it.

So I'm not sure how to get round this? Any hints or tips appreciated?

No but we're in a similar boat with our 3 yo. We're only really catching poos in the toilet when we see the signs that he needs to go. He's not telling us when he needs to go (but he is aware as he often leaves the room to do it) which has resulted in a few accidents when we've not been on the ball.
Pees are the same I fear. We're taking him at regular intervals so he's not really got a chance to pee himself, so I could say he's not having any accidents, but I wouldn't confidently say he's "got it" either.

I think we'll have to have a strict "no prompt day" and see where that gets us. (Knee deep in piss most likely Confused)
