My DD is 20 months old and is very aware of her bodily functions now, she will either pay the front or back of her nappy when she's gone toilet (front for a wee and back for a poop) so I think she's ready (or nearly ready) to start toilet training her.

Any advice were to start/ things that have worked for you, would be greatly appreciated, she's our eldest child so we're complete novices here!

Reusable training pants are great for giving a little bit of protection when they're not so good at holding it in when out and about.

Get a folding toilet seat to take out with you, my youngest was TERRIFIED of falling down the toilet and wouldn't use a potty either so a small toilet seat was a must have.

Lots of pant free time so she can run or you can move her to the toilet quickly.

You can never give to much praise, even when she has an accident "nevermind, we'll try again next time - you're doing a god job letting me know" type thing.
