Is this a sign?

Hi there - I have twin 2.5 yr old boys. Both are still not talking yet. They sometimes pull down their trousers and pull up nappies. Is this a sign they are ready for potty training? Or is it more of a game to them?

Any advice is appreciated.

Smile

Go do it, but if it doesn’t work then simply back track and wait. It will happen (and is brilliant to no longer be lugging a change bag around when they are confident).

Eldest DD did potty training in about a week aged 2.3 with aid of chocolate buttons, not dry through night until 3.3. Younger DD potty trained herself at 2 (copying her older sister really), and dry through night at 2.1, with no chocolate buttons bribery.

If you can get the step and loo seat that means they don’t fall into the loo, and so are happy using a toilet, will be much easier for you than carting around a potty everywhere when out. Smile

Absolutely introduce a potty to each room, show them how to use it and then leave them to it initially. If they show an interest then go for it! Good luck!
