Accidents after over 3 weeks. Should I give up?

Been potty training my 3 year old for just over 3 weeks and he is still having many wet accidents everyday. He knows what to do and will sometimes ask for the potty but mostly needs to be reminded. He is still weeing very regularly particularly after drinking so I am not sure he has got the hang of holding it in yet. I am finding the whole process exhausting but hate to give up when he knows what to do. Should I give up and try again in a month or carry on?

Don’t give up ❤️ Maybe there’s a way to train him to hold a wee, or a method you can use to encourage him to recognise when he is successfully holding a wee. Good luck!

I used to remind mine to go to the toilet regularly at first. If that hadn't been for an hour or two tell them to go and try.

I think I’d take a break pull up pants so he can still go to the toilet but it doesn’t matter so much if he has an accident. I always think these things are a bit easier when the weather warms up. Wild wees in the garden.
