AUTISTIC DAUGHTER ACCIDENTS AT SCHOOL

My daughter is in Reception and keeps having accidents at school. She is autistic and is reluctant to communicate her need to go to the loo. She doesnt have learning difficulties but she wont go to the loo at home to wee unless she needs to - no 'checking wees' before we go out/come home etc. She is not trained to poo on the loo and with-holds this until she is at home and will poo in a pull-up. My main query is how to get her to ask to go to the loo at school? She is not confident to leave her friends in the playground, for example, if she needs to go at break. Her teacher encourages her to go to the loo but she won't go then wets herself. She has also pooed herself when she had diarrhoea. Please can anyone advise anything that might help? She made up a sign to show the teacher she needs to go if she is teaching but she wont do the sign.

My dd who has traits of autism, the teacher taught her the makaton sign, so she does that now and it works really well (teacher is brilliant and thoughtful to have come up with this solution obvs)

@Derbybound2022 just wondering how you are getting on with your DDs toileting problem. My son is in reception and also having multiple wetting accidents a day He is under the paediatrician and possibly has autism, we are awaiting a further appointment in the summer. He doesn't tell us he needs to go, has lots of small wees in his pants and it doesn't bother him. He's quite happy to sit in wet pants but if he gets a drop of water on his jumper from spilling a tiny bit of his drink he would have a meltdown.
