What progress did you make today in potty training and how's it going in general?
We hat a stinky nappy but many pees on the toilet :)

We're on day 2 for my DD who is just coming up to 2.5yrs. We've got a week before going back to nursery so thought it was a good time as she was showing all the signs. Wees are getting there - we've gone bare bum for the first few days for ease and only 2 wee accidents today (one on me whilst we were having a cuddle and it looked like I'd missed my cue for the loo 🤣). Poos are tricky - I got her to the potty on time yesterday after seeing her head into a corner, but today she went to the potty for 30 seconds then got up and did it on the floor and then later on did another but was walking to me as if she realised what was happening and wasn't sure what to do. I'm taking positives in that she clearly knows the sensation, just need to be more eagle eyed myself and help her connect the sensation to sitting on the potty.

Day 4 for us, started off with bare bum days 1 and 2 and he seemed to be getting the hang of it, wees and 1 poo in the potty. Tried clothes from yesterday afternoon and have had several accidents since... Not sure whether to go back to bare bum or just persevere with clothes. Have ditched the pants and just wearing trousers for now as think that pants too similar to nappy...

Having a similar experience here now we're on day 4. Trying to keep going but my god its disheartening after a really good day yesterday. DD hasn't quite grasped asking to go either so it just happens - that said the last accident she did shout help a nano second before and was stood by the potty, so taking positives where we can. How are you getting on today?

Day 2 here. One accident yesterday (wee) - he just got overexcited playing I think. Is happily skipping off to the toilet for both wees and poos, can’t yet wipe himself but flushes the toilet and washes his hands perfectly. This is not in any way stressful. He’s 3.5 and I am so glad we didn’t try to push it earlier.

Pretty much gone back to bare bum as at least it means he can run to the potty himself... Obviously not sustainable moving forwards though! Not sure what we're going to do about nursery next week either. Getting more resistance from him when prompting to go on the potty. Have tried stickers but he has mastered the art of producing multiple miniscule wees every 5 minutes in order to get more stickers Grin shows he has good bladder control at least! Think we will keep at it for a few more days but if it continues to be this stressful may need to park and try again in a month or two.
