Potty training regression

My 3 year old has been potty trained and has been using the toilet for a while now, suddenly she has started to refuse to wear her pants and only wants to wear pull up nappies. Has anyone else had this? I'm not sure what caused it or why this has suddenly happened when she has been so good at going to the toilet. Has anyone got any ideas?

Anything changed recently at home – new baby (so she wants to be the baby), going to nursery like a big girl (so wants to be a baby), you going back to work or changing work hours (so she wants to be a baby for attention), etc etc?

I’d just let her crack on and make sure the knicker option is there, she’ll come back to it

Thank you, nothing really has changed at home, she has been off nursery for 2 weeks due to the school holidays and she was asking nearly every day if she can go to school, hopefully now she is back she may just go back to her knickers, but at the moment trying to get them on her causes a complete meltdown if she sees I have got them out for her

It’s probably the change in routine, two weeks is a lifetime when you’re little.

DD is a little younger – 2.5yo – but she goes through irritating phases of suddenly clinging to nappies again: “no you CAN’T take my nighttime nappy! Me LOVE it!” Hmm
