Potty trained but now bad sleep

We started potty training my 2.5 year old boy a few months ago and it took quite a few weeks especially for him to click when to say he needed the toilet. Then he started having dry nappies in the morning so we tried no nappies at night. He had accidents for the first 2 nights but 3 weeks later he's been dry every night since. However he now wakes up lots of times in the night. From being a really good sleeper since he was almost 2 (18months to 23 months he was a terrible sleeper and could only sleep with me cuddling him) he no wakes and comes into our room and insists he sleeps in our bed. If I can get him back to bed he wriggles about for about an hour with me or if I leave him he doesn't sleep and distracts himself. Has anyone else experienced bad sleep since going no nappies at night? I'm so tired again now that I'm giving in and letting him sleep in our bed.

We haven’t gone no nappies at night yet, but as soon as we potty trained DS in the day, his sleep deteriorated. I think he became more aware of the sensation of needing to wee, and it kept waking him up and then he wasn’t able to self settle and/or wanted his nappy changed.

I don’t have a solution so following for advice!
