Pooing in pants every time

My DS is s 3 and we started potty training about 3 months ago. He is great with wees. Got it really quickly, and rarely has an accident. Poos are another matter though, I think he tried to get them on the potty to start with, but now just doesn't bother and just does them in his pants. It doesn't seem to bother him and he doesn't even come and tell us. I have tried rewards, ignoring it, and sitting him on the potty with the tablet. When we do that, he just seems to wait until he is s off the potty and do it then. I am all out of ideas and getting desperate!

We have the same and I’ve now started putting DS on the loo at the same time after dinner for 15 - 30 mins. He didn’t want to sit for a long time on the loo as there are more fun things to do, so we’ve brought books, blowing bubble etc to the loo. Starting to get into the routine of going in the evenings which has helped prevent accidents

We had the same problem with our daughter but she knew she needed it. We ended up telling our first lie as she's going to move up to pre-school when she's 3 and some of her friends have just moved up so I told her that she can't move up to preschool unless she can pop in the toilet like a big girl. She's pooed in the toilet ever since & exclaims that she can now go to preschool with her friends.
