Hi I'm a nanny of a 3 year old boy and am helping toilet train, he has got wees down never had an accident and always goes to the toilet on his own for them, the issue is poos. He is constantly going in his pants and not the toilet and will say he doesn't have to go when he has already started in his pants.
Has anyone else had an issue like this? Is it just a phase he's going through maybe? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Take the pants off and have him commando or even better completely naked for s few days until he gets used to going without the reassurance of pants. It's a new sensation that the poo just drops out of them when on the toilet so can be scary.
