Would you wake a wet child?

My daughter has wet the bed and is sound asleep. Would you wake to get her changed and dry or leave her to sleep?
I should add she is 6 and this is a very rare occurrence. She had a late night so I think she's sleeping so deeply it hasn't woken her

Omg yes get her up and clean and dry!

I would lift her I to my bed and strip her off while asleep. Then change the sheets. DH would then get into her bed or take the sofa.

I wouldn't leave her wet. She will be cold and upset by morning.

Wake and clean- she will be upset in the morning waking up cold, wet and smelly- kids remember these events - some years later!

Of course. What’s the alternative, leave her lying in her own urine all night?

Tisha0 · 21/08/2021 05:49

Why on earth would you have to post on a forum to ask this? To even think of leaving her to lie in a pool of her own urine is awful. At 6 she would have had accidents before, even if only when much younger - I hope you changed her for those.

‘Should I leave my daughter in her own piss?’
Hmm

It's a parenting forum and a mother has asked for advice. It may be obvious to some people, but this is the point of the site. What would you rather.... people with parenting questions don't come and ask? We're all learning as we go along, and asking the question and worrying about it, shows that the OP is a caring mum. This should be the place where we can ask questions no judgement

Surely it’s not ‘obvious to some.’ It’s obvious to all that if your child wets themselves you need to change them.
