Pooing in pants

My son has now been dry during the day for almost 5 days but we're having poo accidents multiple times a day.

How do I get him to go into the potty?

I've started saying he can have a sticker when he wees in the potty and if he poos he can have a present.

Any suggestions.

Personally I would take the pressure off. I never rewarded mine for using the potty it was just the reward of not being wet/dirty

My second had a huge problem with pooing his pants and we gently encouraged and ignored accidents. He figured it out eventually!

We offered buttons for wees and icecreams for poos, worked for our little one and he was poo trained first! Which I know is pretty uncommon. Trying to get them on the potty twenty mins after a meal is good, does he have a particular time? My little one freaked out when he did a poo, stood up and the poo ended on the carpet, I had left him sitting on the potty. I sat down to clean it up, happy that I had managed to pick it up with some wipes and put it in the potty. Then I realised I'd sat in the other half 🤮

We followed the oh crap book. Start with him indoors naked from waist down and whenever anything happens, stick him on the potty. The idea is you recognise their physical cues like dancing a bit, squeezing legs etc. Build up to trousers and trips out of the house. It's a bit intense at first.
