Hello,
Hoping someone may have some advice for us. We’re on day three of potty training our 2.5 yr old son and unsure if we should abandon and come back to it in a few months.

We had an ok day one and only one accident on day two and a really good 2 hourly routine, however today has been an absolute disaster. Not a single wee on the potty, no particular pattern, only success was first poo but only because we put him there when we saw signs. Doesn’t seem to fussed about being in wet pants.
As we had such a good day yesterday I’m unsure if we should stop?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated Smile

@Christmascaker curious to see how you got on? I’m in same predicament

Hi @Willow146
We are potty training this week too. We have bought 2 year old DS this watch mhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0833B64ZT?ref=ppxpoppmobappshare
It beeps every 15/30//60/90 minutes and he loves the independence of taking himself to the toilet! We're only 3 days in, and no poos on the toilet yet, but he loves it.
Hope it might help maybe? Good luck either way!

Hello!
That day was a low point!!!! We persevered and have only had one accident in the last 2 weeks. He doesn’t ask to go for a wee (his speech isn’t great) so definitely not fully trained but seems to be doing pretty well. I think my advice would be to avoid nappies/pull ups unless you’re planning to go back to them for a few weeks and try again at a later date. I think he needed to experience feeling “wet” to understand.
