Calling fellow mums of boys

DS (3) is very messy when having a pee due to his smaller size willy unfortunately. It’s just small enough to cause problems as he isn’t coordinated enough to pee standing up without a mess over his clothes and sitting down even when leaning far forward he sprays pee over the toilet seat and onto his floor and clothes. Been trying to think creatively about where I can repurpose a kind of cup shaped pee shield that he could hold in place easily from? Any ideas? Or am I being dense and there’s a common hack mums of boys do? We had a potty seat to sit on the toilet but pee still went between the seat gap and he far prefers sitting on the adult size toilet seat anyway

I used to have to take ds's whole bottom half clothing off to pee on the toilet. He then had to have his legs open wide so he could point his penis towards the toilet

It was easier when he could stand to pee. Have you tried one of those wee stools for him to stand on so he can aim over the top of the toilet

I might try stripping off his bottom half too then and see if it helps. Il also see if standing up is easier, we do have a little step for him to use. I decided originally not to even introduce standing up as DS1 used to make such a mess doing it and it was very hard to convince him to go back to sitting (DS 1 never had this problem).

One thing mine really enjoyed, and massively helped them improve their aim fast, was a ping pong ball in the toilet bowl (it bobs around and won't flush away). Obviously they stand on a step if they need to. Aim for the ball, son. Minus points if you hit the seat...
