Hi, hoping for some advice here

My DD is 25 months, and has been clearly changing her weeing habits so she's dry for a long time then we get a giant wee in her nappy/pull ups. She has been happily sitting on her potty for months, although it's only been the last couple of weeks that she has actually weed in it (sometimes).

She goes to nursery a couple of days a week and they think it's too soon to start trying to potty train her as she isn't telling them when she's got a wet or dirty nappy, so they're concerned it'll result in loads of accidents and affect her confidence. Thinking about it, she's never told us she's wet/dirty either.

She's a real chatterbox at home but much quieter at nursery (she started 4minths ago and covid has meant she's nervous around other people without us).

Any thoughts? I don't want to push her too soon, but at the same time don't want to hold her back.

If she’s not verbally telling you, she’s not quite ready.
I’d wait a couple of months.

Thanks, we'll carry on with the gentle encouragement for now then and wait for her.
