DD will be 3 in March. She is very articulate (for her age!) and seems to love the idea of potty training and big girl pants. I drew her up a sticker reward chart and talked to her about it in the few days before I started potty training. She clearly understood and was excited- told everyone she knew about it 
The day came and she put on some pants. In the space of an hour she had wet herself twice. I decided she wasn’t ready (this was back in the October half term) and tried again at Christmas- same thing happened. Tried again a couple of weeks ago - she did 5 wees on her potty and STILL wet herself 20 minutes later.
In between training attempts she has a potty available and sometimes announces she wants to use it (sometimes producing something sometimes not). We always make a big fuss when she does it and she likes to call everyone in the house to come and inspect what she has done. She announces when she’s doing a poo and I ask her if she would like to do it in her potty but she says that she’d rather do it in her nappy.
Is she just not ready? Or should I give it a couple of days rather than give up after she sets herself?
