Starting potty training DS at Christmas, wees are now sorted and never any accidents. But poo is a different matter; some days he doesn't have any accidents and tells me when he needs to go, but then other times he does it in his pants and sometimes tells me and other times doesn't seem to know?

My questions is does anyone have any advice? We've done a sticker chart and gone back to that to try and help him. Praised him for getting it right etc. Not sure what to do next to help him!

My DS went through a stage of this. It was a bit stressful as it kept happening at the childminders but they were very encouraging telling me that it's normal and he would figure it out. And he did. It happened less and less until I realised he wasn't having accidents anymore.

He did always realise he had done it though and would be very upset about it. I think we dealt with it for a few months overall, and occasionally there would be a run of days where he would have an accident daily (which was very stressful). It sounds like you should persevere and hopefully it will pass.
