Wondering if anyone has any advice.....My 2 year old daughter has currently become an absolute nightmare when it comes to changing her nappy. She'll clamp he legs shut making it an absolute mission to wipe her specially if she's had a poo. Poo on feet, hands and god knows where else!
It's turning into a 2 person job just to get her clean!

I've tried warm wipes, cotton wool and warm water even different wipe brands and she's the same with it all....gets absolutely hysterical if we go near her to wipe her clean. I'm unsure when to attempt potty training....was going to wait until summer so she can go without anything on and not feel cold but really debating to try sooner! She's not phased by her potty and will gladly sit on it and act like she's riding a horse😂

if anyone else has had little ones that absolutely hates being wiped and has some tips for me it'll be greatly appreciated🙏🏼

My 18 month old hates having his nappy changed and has done since he was about 1. The way we’ve got round it is changing him whilst standing up and distracting him with a book while we do it. He’s now understanding when we explain he needs his nappy changing so maybe try that?

I normally give him something interesting to play with not a toy but something like a digital thermometer or house keys or hand him my phone with candy crush on where he gets distracted for a minute.

Can you get her to 'help' you with it so she feels more in control, let her do some wiping, choose which clean nappy to put on etc, ask what she wants to do once she's changed? Worth a shot perhaps, hope things get easier for you soon.

I attempted to potty train my two year old due to the same issue. It was a disaster.

A friend started potty training her daughter over nappy refusal at around the same time, and she is now doing both wees and poos on the potty, three months later and after a considerable fight!

You won't know until you try I am afraid, though the Oh Crap Potty Training Method which everybody loves, does claim otherwise Confused
