3 year old unsuccessfully training. Will scream when on the potty at first. After several attempts will sit but no wee. I have noticed hes reduced fluids to almost nothing ie 100mls a day despite different fluids, cups and prompting. Is this related?

What happens if you just leave him to it, bare bum, does he go to potty when he needs to go or does he have an accident?

In the first week of potty training its best to increase fluids as gives them more chance to practice.

What does he say when you talk to him about using the potty and not wearing nappies anymore?

With nothing on his bottom half he kicks off. With underwear he just wets. He said I hate the potty lol

Just let him have a tantrum about having nothing on. I would jusy walk away and do someyhing else until he geya bored, or distract him with something else. Stop letting him make all the decisions, you are the parent, tell him no nappies and no pants he has to practice and learn how to use the toilet

Is he just three or nearly four?
Ice lollies are a great way of getting fluids in.
Is he stubborn in general or just not ready. Boys can be nearly 4 and over before they're ready

And I'm a very good parent who doesn't let my child rule the roost. I allow him to tantrum and ignore. He however is not weeing in the potty so all the carry on is fruitless

Tbh I'd wait six months. That's a long time for him to develop.

Put it away. TRy again in a few months read a story on the potty, read bboks like I want my potty (Little princess series.by Tony Ross) or something similar. Let hi choose pants. Star charts work for some but not sll.
