Weeing on purpose so she can change her pants

My 2 year 9 month old DD loves an outfit change. It's annoying but I figure not a hill I'm willing to die on when she's asks during the day for a different outfit. It's not every day but it's definitely a thing for her.

Which was fine until potty training. Now she is so happy when she wets her pants as she gets to choose new ones. She even said to me this morning, "when my pants are wet, mummy, I get new ones" with a big smile on her face.

What would you do?

Could you maybe have "boring " ones for when she's wet herself and one's she loves for first thing in the morning that she gets to choose?

We had a toddler in my class who started doing this. Mum ended up buying boys pants to change her into when she weed on purpose. It worked a charm, because she hated them.

DS1 did this. I let him have character pants first thing in the day and boring Tesco value ones thereafter to put a stop to it.

Thank you everyone. Great suggestions. I'll dig her brothers old ones out!

Ooh yes I remember a group of girls at nursery, getting wet at the water table so they could pick a different donated dress. We told them there were no more dresses and they had to wear the plain boring joggers and jumpers donated for the boys and they soon stopped!
