Accidents again at 4 months in

Trying again as I didn't get much of a response before and I'm desperate.

DS is 3 next week, we started potty training when my second was born 4 months ago (or my mother did) and have just gone with it.

He's been excellent at first, barely any accidents, when we go out he asks and goes fine. However this last month has been a total shambles, he will now fight me to go poop, I have to bribe him to sit down as he sort of panicks? And cries and if I'm lucky he will go when I calm him down but if not he will just go in his pants.

Second regression (I guess) is he's having frequent wee accidents, not when we are out at all, but infront of the tv or that he holds it to last minute and wees.

I've run out of ideas now, he starts nursery in September (preschool nursery) and they won't be changing his bum.

I think the pooping might be that he's a bit constipated so we've tried to help that but apart from constant reassuring and asking what can I do? Even when I've asked him to wee today he ran around and peed himself.

I need help please

Have you tried a reward chart.
I filled a basket with cheap toys from £1 store for every 3 stickers on reward chart he got to pick a treat from basket. Once chart was full a bigger treat something he really wanted or a trip to a special place.

@pb1234 Yes initially, he got a bit bored of it. I was thinking of redoing it to try get him interested again. If I could of gone out shopping I think I would of done the same and just got a load of poundland goodies but we try to limit going shopping.

Following, not exactly the same but my 2yo is having frequent accidents at nursery, though she seems fine at home.

I’m wondering if it’s the lockdown, outings are a big deal for everyone maybe they pick up on that? I dunno. I just know I’ve never felt more stressed :( absolutely HATE potty training. Every time I think we have it, boom! Nope...
