Back to commando?

DD (25mths) has been really consistently peeing and pooing on the potty for about 2 weeks. She's not had anything on the bottom half so just takes herself to the potty and does her thing. She even empties it by herself now and sometimes won't mention anything to me.

So I started putting loose leggings on her and showed her how to take them down. She was totally uninterested in learning how to pull them down and now she just sits on the potty and pees through her leggings.

Should I go back to commando? How do I transition to leggings and when? How do I teach her to pull them down if she's not interested?

Mine is around the same age and we have potty trained. At this stage we made a big fuss of saying "trousers dooooown!" before he used the potty and now that's what he says when he needs to go. I would stick with the leggings, as she clearly understands where to go, and just keep a hawk eye for a few days and remind her about the leggings each time she heads towards the potty.

I read something interesting that said children get confused with the phrase "pull down your pants" because you don't actually pull down pants, you push them down.

It made a big difference to my dc when I told him to push down his pants rather than pull.
