So I made a sticker chart for short intervals in the day, breakfast, play, snack, play, lunch, etc.
I tried hard to get her to either ask to go or I would take her in each of those 45min:1 hour intervals. If she was dry all day, she got a treat, which was she wanted to hold teddy ornaments from our display cabinet as she isn't normally allowed to touch them. Shes been looking in at them for days, begging to hold them, so I thought it was a good incentive. This worked like a charm, and after one accident the first day, the second day was back to no accidents and asking herself, no problem.
She was fine again for nearly 2 weeks, asking every time, no need to be prompted when suddenly a week ago, the same thing.
Forgetting to ask, almost doing it on purpose it seems, going blank when we ask why she didn't ask to go.
Sometimes she's watching something on a screen and she then wets, so we've said no screens until she starts to ask us again, every time.
This then prompted her to ask every 5 minutes in the hope of gaining her screen back. She's a very clever girl for 2.5 years to work out "if I ask to go to the toilet I'll get my screen" which makes it all the more maddening that she can't/won't ask every time to go, when a few days ago she was.
One thing we did think may have confused her is we have been going out for our daily walks in our local forest, and at times she's needed to go when out, and we've encouraged her to go on the grass. This then may have prompted her to go in our garden at home, but we explained she still needed to take off her pants etc.
At my wits end again.
Will try the sticker chart again and Taking at regular intervals and no screens until she regularly asks again.
Hopefully back to normal soon. Thanks for all your replies. Helpful to know I'm not alone in this!
