Oh Crap! Block 1- daughter hates being naked

Has anyone had this problem? I can’t find any help for this. She is really clingy, reluctant even to be put down and screams when we take her to the potty. Advice very much appreciated!

How old is she? Sounds like she is not ready. We tried a couple of times but just put pants on rather than naked and she got really upset about the potty.

Left it to the week before she turned 3 as that was the next full week I had off work and she got it in 3 days.

We've been doing oh crap for a week now. Spent first 5 days bare bottom halved but our DD gets cold really easily and so I knew she would hate being naked. We did top and jumper and sometimes even socks but just kept the pants and trousers off so she could feel when wet and also get to potty on her own.
We had a bit of a hurdle with her being afraid of letting go but over that now. Today is day one of shorts on.

I've potty trained many toddlers over the years as a nanny and have never done the naked bottom half thing. I usually dress them in loose pants and joggers that are easy to pull up and down in a hurry. "Oh crap" is a useful method but it's not the only way to potty train - just do what suits your child best, if she's stressed from being naked then that's not conducive to successful potty training.

I've not heard of this method. I did what Nanny R suggested. Put them in pants joggers or Jersey shorts. Sat them on the potty to see if anything happens. If it went badly I'd stop for 4 weeks. I don't remember having to do it many times. They were both potty trained by 2.8 months but longer is perfectly normal too. My friend had such trouble with her little boy that she abandoned it until he was gone 3 and it clicked within a week.
