So, started training DS2, who is 2 years 10 months, this morning. Summary of the day:
Sat on potty after breakfast with night nappy off, nothing produced
took an hour to convince him to get pants on to go downstairs
accident-free trip to Sainsburys
wee in pants at home
long stand-off about going to the potty and getting back into pants - he has serious standing power
trip to playground, second wee accident
bit of TV
dinner and third wee accident
potty and - hurray - the main event of the day (poo) was captured :-)!
Given that there were 4 hours before his first accident and 2-3 hours between each other wee suggests that he has got quite a bit of control - I just need to break his resistance! Generally, he doesn't like change. Threw a massive tantrum about his new bed on day 1, just to be totally ok on day 2... so I think I need to persist with it and hope for the best tomorrow!
