Potty training

Right so I have a 2 year old boy (3 in September) he’s potty trained as far as he uses the potty for number 1’s he only does number 2’s wearing a nappy, which is fine however he will not wear underpants and demands to stand for number 1’s, if I put underpants on him he automatically assumes it’s a nappy and will wee and then tells me about it after, I have tried to sit him on the potty but he screams the house down and will not entertain the idea of sitting, he is really good at standing (aiming is great) I just cannot take him out with underpants on he has to have a nappy on which is really annoying and i feel like a bad parent that when we people come around he’s naked on the bottom half and I feel like they are judging me but I just can’t seem to get him to wear his “big boy pants” can anyone help me 🤞

He doesn’t seem to be potty trained to me. I would put nappies back on and start again when he’s a bit older.

But surly that’s going backwards he knows when he needs to wee as long as he has nothing on he goes by himself no problems so to me it seems a little silly to put nappies back on him just because he won’t wear underpants or won’t do number 2’s
