Potty training resistance

For love or money my 3 yr 3 month daughter WILL NOT use the potty or toilet!! I’ve tried everything, bribery, sweets, chocolate, toys, reward chart!! She’s chose her own potty and pants. She won’t even sit on it or go near it, she kicks it out the way. She’s ready as she’s such a clever girl. But so stubborn, she’s even getting anxious over it has been sick when she needs to go. She paces the floor when she needs to go and gets upsets before she wees on the floor. I’m at my wits end as she’s over 3 years old now. I’m afraid if I stop she will never want to be potty trained.

My daughter is similar in that she knows what to do, but doesn't always do It! She's a bit younger though.

Maybe you need to hold back a bit with this, not meant unkindly, but if you are trying too hard to push the potty on her maybe that's what's stressing her out?

Tell her to use the potty when she needs to go, but don't remind or badger her, leave it up to her. If she has an accident, no big deal, but ask her to help you I.e. get undressed, put fresh pants on etc. Would she prefer the toilet? Is the potty in a private place?

She will get there, but I do understand your frustration.

Try taking her potty/ seat away, put them somewhere random that she would see.. and you may find she puts them back or starts to interact and play with them more. Keep it fun, play with daddies and dolls on the potty. I think if she's so stressed she's pacing and sick if you keep pushing she'll associate toileting with anxiety which could lead to a whole heap of other issues.
