Should we start potty training less than a week before a trip away?

I’m planning on potty training my DD this weekend but I’m concerned as I know it can be a lengthly process and we are due to go on holiday about 4 days after starting. Would it be better to try after the holiday? The trip is in the UK with a long drive involved. Advice needed thanks

I wouldn’t start until after the holiday, starting before will only make it harder. And an extra week in nappies is not going to make a difference

I would wait. I would not want to be chasing a child to go to the loo for the whole of my holiday. Waiting 10days will have no lasting effect on her, but means your holiday will be more enjoyable.

Nooo

Leave it till after your holiday. You will need all your patience and it's best to be mainly based at home and near a look/clean clothes. Good luck!

I would also wait, a week won’t make a difference and the holiday will be more enjoyable without you constantly having to watch them or be cleaning up a mess somewhere that isn’t your home

Thank you all I’ll definitely put it on hold until after the trip xx
