Help with poos

Morning with the Easter holiday just starting I want to work with my 5 year old and getting him to use the toilet for poos. He’s fine with wees. If we are in public and he’s needs a poo he will tell me and will use the toilet so I know he can do it. At home he will just go in is pants and won’t even tell me he’s gone he just carries on playing and that’s it’s a battle to change him.

Any advice or tips would be great!

Does he have developmental issues? And have you seen your GP?

Hi, if you search for my threads i have a problem with my DD doing poos in potty/toilet.
My thread is called potty training, there was some great advice. She hasn't yet done a poo in potty/toilet yet but she is definitely starting to build herself up to it.

Sorry I thought included that bit he has ASD, ODD and Anxiety. We have been to the GP and there is no problem he isn't constipated.

Sorry Harryy, I don’t know much about ASD to advise. The app I mentioned has helped us massively, and some friends with various poo related issues with their kids too. So it’s worth a shot. Do you have some support from someone who could advise in the context of his developmental issues? Or a Facebook group with other mothers of kids with ASD you could ask?

I did bottom half naked today which a few people advised but he hasn't been today

Went back to underwear today as he didn't poo yesterday, again he hasn't pooed all day today but he's wet hisself a few times.

I've been sitting him on the toilet and reading a book as he's been telling me his tummy hurts but he won't poo. Would you tell him he can poo in his underwear?

I have an almost 4 year old, been weeing on the toilet for over a year now and pretty much dry in the night - virtually no accidents. However, will not poo in anything other than a pull up and will hold it in for days.
Any suggestions? Ive tried bribes, charts, the "Poo goes to Pooland" app. Nothing seems to work! At my wits end now..

Surely this long without pooing isn't good? He normally goes twice a day
