3 Day Potty Training Method

Wondering if anyone else has tried this? After months of myself and my childminder trying to gently potty training my 2 1/2 yr old son, I'm giving The 3 day potty training method a go while I'm on holiday and can be at home with him all the time. He's been in pull ups for the last 2 months (because my childminder wasn't keen on him going straight to pants) and can pull them up and down and knows what the potty is for. I thought he was ready as his communication is good and he seems to understand the whole idea of using the potty, but today has been horrendous so far! 8 wee accidents in his pants so far and he doesn't even seem to mind that his pants are wet. Trying to be really patient and just say 'Nevermind, next time try to wee in your potty.' Do you think I'm onto a losing battle or should I keep preserving?

Any help greatly appreciated!

I've created a thread about potty training just now. We're on day 4. I don't know the three day method but we've been using the OH Crap book. Day 1 50/50. Day 2 and 3 no accidents at all.. he was naked all three days, Today we have had one accident of each type because we'd put joggers on him. The book says if they feel they have something to comfort there then they are less aware of what they're doing.
Maybe you could try naked from waist down?
