My 2 yr 8 month old daughter has technically been out of nappies for 5 months now with mixed success. She initially seemed to get it very quickly with very few accidents in the early days and even managing a wedding, and mini holiday without accidents. Since Aug she started moving into a new room at nursery, had a chest infection then a uti and me and husband are now in the process of separating. We're now 3 months into what I thought was a major potty training regression, however it's been so long now that it's difficult to know whether it us a regression or just that she wasn't quite ready.
We have several days in a row with (almost) 100% success followed by several days of almost 100% accidents. At first I maintained a relaxed "never mind this phase will pass " attitude however I'm finding this increasingly more stressful and I'm sure she's picking up on my stress which won't be helping. Things seem to be getting worse as the months go by and I absolutely dread go out due to the risk of accidents. So far I've avoided going back to nappies at times it's gone so well and i feel we'll going back to square one. However I'm wondering if I'm doing more harm than good in the long run.
Has anybody been through similar and what did you do? X
